A row of pretty little girls warm and cosy in Twig studio, we had an idea to stand the ladies in a row for a photo for a banner, and I think it worked well, I hope you do too. My grandmothers old Singer machine was one side and a lovely glass button jar from Beyond measure on the other. I am quite a hoarder of buttons so I found the jar (a perfect Christmas present ) so useful, there is always a home for a special button.

I managed to use my mothers old Singer sewing machine which was activated by the feet on a treddle - think that's right - you probably know, Chris! I wasn't a dressmaker, but being very slim I did manage to make two little dresses - one was already cut out with directions for sewing, but the other was a plain coral material which I made into a simple shift with a pattern. It's very satisfying to create something different now and then! Love to boys!
