Lets look forward to Spring. Mahonia in flower and 1 miniature pale blue iris. Its a start.
East Yorkshire seems to have missed the wrath of storm Goretti. Just rain here and hardly any wind.
Libraries are the heart and soul of a community. Read The Last Library by Freya Sampson. That says it all.
Look forward to all the 2026 new ladies. Sx

Hi Chris,
I am new to your site and button dolls, and I find them so charming and the intricate work, so nimble, neat and each so individual, I haven’t managed to buy one yet, they sell so quickly that when i take a look they all have their new homes, which is wonderful for them, I’m sure I will find one that is waiting for me at some stage, and will enjoy the looking. Thank you for your beautiful pieces of art, all made with patience and love.❤️

Hi Chris. Happy new year. Loving the dolls with the heart dresses. Has bought back a lovely memory of a good friend that died from a brain tumour 14 years ago. She had a favourite chair in her garden room where she would sit and watch the birds, weather etc when she was ill so I made her a cushion for that chair in the green. Remembering Margaret. Interesting article about public libraries. I have worked in our local library for 22 years. They are a valuable community resource. They are not just about books. There are so many things available for everyone, not just children! Warm and safe space just to sit. Hot drinks, daily newspapers, rhymetime, story times, free online resources inc magazines, newspapers, audio books, ebooks. Lots of different events for adults and children such as visits from guide dogs, knit and natter, drop in sessions with age uk, citizens advice and loads more. I don’t understand why everyone doesn’t join their local library! Shirley xx
