An old craft xx

As the year is going on (it does seem fast) and we are nearly in September, the colours in Twig studio are starting to change, the new fairy dolls today, are me holding onto the last parts of Summer with a beach outfit, some modern art and an old craft, and there are cardigans in case there is the occasional chilly day or evening  xx
I hope when we reflect back on the gorgeous Summer days (and the heat) of 2026 we can get maybe a little prepared ... my stand out plant for heat and drought has got to be roses, they have done SO well and as gardeners will tell you they are very robust, this year has proved that for me, and I have become a dab hand at lighting a bbq and definitely need to mulch the hydrangeas more, what has worked really well for you this year in the garden or in pots xx

If you are getting a bank holiday on Monday, enjoy

What a super collection of new dolls. Love the blue hair of the beach ladies, and the modern art fabric. I remember knitting dolls too.
Roses have kept going but looks like a few of my shrubs have given up including my hydrangea despite watering.
Have a nice weekend. Sx
